Courtesy by way of acknowledging / response to a reference made by Disabled Sr.Citizen who cannot move 

The issue “Even Govt. officials neglect e-mails of PWD who cannot move - this attitude needs be changed on humanitarian ground “ & “PWD friendly arrangement needed be made at all Govt. & other offices, e-mail services accepted for those who cannot move physically..” is being discussed at length at various social net works like fb,twitter etc for betterment to old aged disability & disabled persons, specially those cannot move. Probably high designators feel it below dignity to acknowledge or reply to a Person with Disability, who cannot move. However there are some exceptions who in pursuance with traditional Indian culture of paying respect to Sr. Citizen / PWDs: & others who……

1. GM / W.Rly./ India :- Suggestions moved by a Sr.Citizen (Disabled) “SOME SUGGESTIONS - USEFUL TO AGED & DISABLED PERSONS WHILE TRAVELLING IN A TRAIN COMPARTMENT / RLY. STATION” was sent to all GMs, Rly.Bord of Indian Railways for consideration & implementation. ONLY GM / Western Rly (Maharastra, India) responded & informed they will examine for... . Others simply ignored, neglected…. .

2. Whenever a reference is made by Sr. Citizen, Disabled to Sri. Gopal Ch. Basu, CGM / GM, Kolkata Telephones (BSNL) – He always acknowledges the receipt & issue suitable directives.

3. A request “Computer set as a life line to a paralyzed disabled in lieu of artificial limbs etc” was made to Governor of West Bengal. Hon. Governor passed sympatric orders immediately –> machinery miserably failed to comply till date

4. Refusal by taxi driver to a disabled who cannot move and a e-mail fishing case was brought to the notice of Commissioner of Police, Kolkata. On receipt of e-mail Sri.G.M Chakroborty, CP immediately contacted me over phone & e-mail and disposed the issues.

Some other type of dealings including a very nasty one:-

5. Normally Dr. T.D.Dhariyal, Dy.Chief Commissioner, office of the Chief Commissioner, Person with Disabilities, New Delhi do not reply / response to a reference made by Disabled except once. A quarry was made whether there exists any Exemptions, Relaxations or any special provisions made out in respect of persons with old age disability and Disabled. Dr. TDD vide his mail dated.03-03-2009 advised me to contact Commissioner (Disabled) Kolkata to get a loan (Which I had never applied to him or his department).

6. Prayed before Railways to allow my attendant / escort to travel along with me on pass as I cannot move with out escort and my wife, Sr.Citizen, sickly women cannot be an escort – Prayer is with Railway Board and even after 74th reminder since 2009 no improvement made.

7. Entire episode of “DIFFERENTLY TREATMENT TO A DISABLED (80%) & INSULTS MADE to Persons with Disability by DM / North 24 Parganas / West Bengal / India
